During the lead-up to Christmas 2018 and whilst simultaneously working on a Magazine site for beauty brand SHAMANIC, the office produced a small number of festive background banners for the same client. While most of these designs were featured online and in newsletters, a framed poster redesign was used as a backdrop for retail display presentations in-store.
The client wanted to convey visual moods around the themes of Glow, Glamour and Gold, which the designs attempted to approach with enough subtlety so as not to become kitsch. A handwritten font for the Christmas claim had to tread equally carefully by being feminine without appearing too whimsical. Some screen sizes supported the addition of a pretty callout button, featuring cleaner typography and friendly copywriting.
